Warmth and laughter from Bill Forsyth and Bill Paterson in this 1984 classic Scottish film. Allan “Dicky” Bird a radio DJ, is heartbroken when his girlfriend leaves him and his life takes a bizarre twist- he witnesses an attack on an ice cream van which leads him into the struggle between two Italian families over the ice cream market in Glasgow.
Partly shot on the Southside of Glasgow, Comfort and Joy is a Sunday matinee treat for those who haven’t seen it and and for those who just want to be reminded of Forsyth’s comic genius!
